Makoshika Mascot Challenge ***CANCELLED***

April 18, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The gauntlet has been thrown down and the field has been determined. Eight regional college mascots have accepted the challenge, but which one will emerge victorious? Makoshika State Park, Montana’s largest State Park, is known for its formidable landscape, in the badlands of eastern Montana. Is this unforgiving terrain tougher than an all-star cast of college mascots from across the region?

The Friends of Makoshika State Park have challenged regional college mascots to a unique triathlon-with-a-twist. Eight large, goofy but unwieldly figures, ranging from a Grizzly to a General, a Coyote to a Hawk, will put their physical skills to the test as they vie for the title of Makoshika Mascot on Saturday, April 18. The event will feature a mascot meet-n-greet to kick-off the day at the Kiwanis Pavilion at 10 a.m., with mascot autographs, college swag, food, music, and fun. The first mascot challenge, a disc golf toss, will take place at the disc golf course starting at 11 a.m. Following the disc golf toss, there will be the dance-off challenge which is sure to entertain. Have you ever wondered how hard it is to run in those costumes? To round out the competition, the final challenge will be a race from the park main campground to the pavilion which will determine the ultimate champion of the 2020 Makoshika Mascot Challenge.

2020 Makoshika Mascot Roster:
1. “Monte” University of Montana Grizzlies (Missoula, MT)
