DAWSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE GRADUATION SLATED FOR MAY 16
56 students are candidates for degrees
GLENDIVE, MONT. – May 2, 2019 – Dawson Community College’s 2019 commencement ceremonies will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 in the Toepke Center gymnasium. The public is invited to attend.
The keynote speaker this year is Mitsu Frazier, Vice President of Operations for the Business College at Western Governors University, the nation’s first and largest nonprofit, competency-based university. Since April of 2008, Frazier has led all faculty and operational functions with a personal passion for improving the lives of others through individual connection and mentoring. Under her leadership, WGU’s Business College has supported 40,000 graduates across undergraduate and graduate programs and has grown from 8,000 students to 42,000+ students.
Before coming to WGU, Frazier worked with one of the world’s largest banks, HBSC North America, as an executive leader of consumer and financial lending – a sector dedicated to supporting the financial stability and long-term financial planning for individuals across the country.
Frazier, while a resident of Arizona for the last 15 years, maintains the pride of a true Montanan, having been born in Bozeman and raised in the Great Falls and Big Fork areas. She attended the University of Montana and Montana State University-Northern and earned her degree in Business Administration while playing collegiate volleyball. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.
Fifty-six students are candidates for degrees for the Spring 2019 semester. Official awarding of a degree and any official graduation with honors or high honors designation is not made until degree candidates have completed their final term of enrollment and have met all specific requirements. Degree candidates who are expected to graduate with honors (H) have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74. Degree candidates who are expected to graduate with high honors (HH) have achieved a grade point average of 3.75 or higher. The degree candidates are:
