With Govenor Bullocks announcements the morning of 3/20/2020 many local restaurants have closed their dining rooms but not there services. All you have to do is look as far as Dawson Discussion for many of the business owners posting on Facebook to let the community know what they are doing. We have been working hard to centralize some of the information on our Glendive Broadcasting website and many community members have done the same. Now more than ever it is important to support those local businesses that have for many years put money into the local sports teams, hosted your meetings, and generally given you good memories with friends and family.
Practice safe distancing and reach out and communicate with people. It takes two to communicate of course, and those business owners keep marching forward. Pick up the phone, visit their websites, message them, and find out what they are doing to continue service to the community.
Talking with people of the community over the phone this last week, reminded me about the people that are still out there keeping things running from behind the scenes. Many Ag related businesses have not slowed down because they still have work to do. Agriculture is a big cornerstone of this community and to see it continue makes me feel at ease. If you have one leg you can stand on it.
For those of us in the media industry we feel the hit as well. Remember us along with those that normally advertise with us while they face the possibility of lost income. Keep them going and help them keep things operating normally. When the restrictions are lifted remember your local businesses.
Stay strong.
