DCHS Red Devils Compete in Queen City Track Meet

The Red Devil Track team had a small crew in Spearfish,SD for the Queen City, but those few made an impressive showing at such a large meet!
Logan Phipps punched his ticket to state in the PV easily clearing 13′ for 2nd in that event. Tiana Carney bettered her SR with a jump of 9’9″ for 2nd in the PV, Reed Cooley placed 2nd in the shot with a state qualifying throw of 48-2, His sister Emily also qualified in the HJ with a jump of 5′.
Savannah Toms also qualified in the shot put with a throw of 35’2″. Our girls 4×100 also broke into the 52 second range for 6th. The biggest highlight of the day was Karsen Murphy’s impressively easy clearance of 5’5″ to win that event by 3″ on her way to a new school record!
