DCC Women’s Basketball Alexius Foster Named All-Region

After being named Mon-Dak Conference Most Valuable Player and NJCAA Region XIII Player of the Year, Dawson Community College Lady Buccaneer Alexius Foster was also named to the 2017-2018 NJCAA All-Region Team.

Foster is among 7 other members on the All-Region team. She led the Lady Buccaneers to a 20 win season and a second place conference standing, averaging 18 ppg, 5 rpg, 2 apg and 2 spg. Foster also recorded twelve games of at least 20 points, single high game of 34 points. Her high game in rebounds was 22.

In the NJCAA, she was nationally ranked #24 in scoring average and #8 in most points scored with 574.

A very proud head coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr. had this to say about Foster’s accomplishments, “Alexius has executed a wonderful and strong offensive performance this past season. Without her scoring punches, we wouldn’t have won some of our games. Her accomplishments definitely deserve the recognition.”
