DCC womens’ basketball coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr. claimed another talent from his home state of California.  Jeniece Harmon is a 5’5 point guard from Theodore Roosevelt High School out of Fresno, CA.  Harmon has officially signed her NJCAA National Letter of Intent to play for the Dawson Community College women’s basketball team starting in Fall 2021.

Before transferring to Roosevelt High School, Harmon was a varsity standout at Central High School.  In her last season of play, she averaged 12 points and 5 assists.  She was voted Second Team All-League in the Tri River Athletic Conference and Best Defensive Player on the team.

During her AAU travel team circuit, playing for Cen Cal Elite, she was awarded on the All-Tournament Team in 2018 and 2019 in the West Coast Jamboree and the Tarkanian Classic in 2019.

Coach Lagmay on his Cali product, “When I got the call and game film on Jeniece, I knew I wanted her on the spot. Coach Jerry Taylor from Roosevelt said she was a bulldog, and gets after it on both ends of the court, and he wasn’t lying.  She can handle it, shoot the mid-range and three point shot well, finishes strong to the basket, and her defensive on-ball pressure is super.  Jeniece is going to fit well in our system.”

Jeniece was very direct on her new location in Montana, “It is hard finding a school that is a good fit for you, and I am beyond excited that Dawson is that school for me!”
