The DCC cross country team rounded out their regular season in Dillon, MT last weekend, competing at the UM-Western Bulldog Open. The team competed hard and finished the season strong on a tough and windy course.

The team traveled to five meets this season and saw continued improvement in their times and their competition level. The team ranged between two and eight minutes of improvements on their times, with every single athlete improving throughout the season. The boy’s team saw massive improvement and learned how to compete and work together as a team to compete at a higher level. The girl’s team reached goals, and had one athlete qualify for Nationals. Coach Chase said, “I am very proud of the improvements we made throughout this season, and their willingness to trust me and this process. The team worked hard and I am looking forward to carrying this momentum into our track season!”

Kayla Parisien is the only Buccaneer to continue into the postseason. She will race at the NJCAA Cross Country Nationals in Albuquerque, NM on November 9th.
