The DCC Women’s Basketball team has been on the road the past two weeks trying to get some experience competing. They have played a total of 7 scrimmages on two separate weekends, traveling as far as Windsor, Colorado and Gillette, Wyoming. After only 8 practices, the Lady Bucs were quickly confronted with games against teams from Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming.
The 2019-2020 Lady Buccaneers will feature 9 freshmen and 1 sophomore. After an 18-14 winning record and regional semifinal appearance last season, the newcomers will look to continue the winning tradition of DCC Women’s Basketball.
The Lady Bucs will host their first official home scrimmage this Saturday, October 19, at the Toepke Center against the Montana All-Stars led by team captain Lacey Haughian of Terry, MT. Lacey was a 2008 All-American at NCAA Division II Black Hills State University and played professionally in Sweden, Denmark and Germany. The Montana All-Stars will have a talented line up of Eastern Montana hoopers who were former high school all-state honorees and collegiate all-conference athletes, along with some professional experience. The roster will be laced with former players from Miles City, Beach, Wolf Point, and Terry.
The game will begin at 6:00 pm and there will be free admission to the public. Livestream access will be online on youtube!
