Thank you Jackie!

I was pleased to have Jackie Stinnett join me in our recording studio to ask a few questions from the perspective of a Booster Club Parent. Being a former student of DCHS that didn’t participate in sports the Booster Club has been a mystery to me and what it did for the other students. Though I didn’t join in I know my own parents would have and did eagerly jump into help with activities my siblings showed interest in. Sports or anything like this as a kid can really cement some core principles and appreciation for what the community and parents are willing to do to ensure you get the chance and to have resources you need to participate. Glendive certainly comes together on things even if we are not perfect and I for one am grateful for the parents that put time and effort.

Every time parents and community members participate with the school and volunteer time and effort it is certainly seen. It may not feel like all the deposits you’ve made always come with an immediate pay off but setting an example will certainly pay interest in the kids that see your integrity. To all of those that volunteer and help build the community your efforts don’t go unnoticed. To those not sure where to help sometimes that extra body is all that is needed.

The outside world will see our school many times rise or fall in ability over the years, but what we can do is pitch in and make sure each time we send out a Glendive kid that they take a part of us with them. Help make those lessons and community love the best part of what we send.
