Dawson Community College Softball Defeats University Of Jamestown JV After Tense Back-And-Forth Affair in Game 1

Dawson Community College Softball and University of Jamestown JV matched up in an exciting back-and-forth game that saw Dawson coming away with a 15-7 victory.  Dawson was down 7-6 in the bottom of the fifth inning when an error scored two runs.  Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Lady Bucs collected nine hits and University of Jamestown JV had seven.

Hailee Gregerson led things off on the hill for Dawson. She allowed seven hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one.  Wemple toed the rubber for University of Jamestown JV. She lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out five.  Crandlemire threw one and one-third innings out of the bullpen.  Jamestown hit three home runs on the day. Buis had a homer in the third and fifth innings. Demchenko had a dinger in the fourth inning.

Reannon Justice led the Lady Buccaneers with three hits in four at bats.Buis went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead University of Jamestown JV in hits.

Justice Shines At The Plate In Dawson Softball Victory Over University Of Jamestown JV in Game 2
Four hits from Reannon Justice paved the way to victory for DCC over Jamestown JV 20-8.  Justice doubled in the first, homered in the second, singled in the second, and singled in the fourth.
University of Jamestown JV scored five runs in the second inning, but Dawson still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Jamestown JV came thanks to a single by Buis, a home run by Prussia, and an error on a ball put in play by Gilbert.  Lady Bucs opened up scoring in the first inning when Jayden Draper singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Lady Buccaneers took the lead for good with 13 runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Dawson, Katelyn Teixeira homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Reannon Justice homered on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs, Anna Snyder hit a solo homer, Lexi Pettersen singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Reannon Justice singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Hailee Gregerson singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.  Mckenna Sorenson led things off on the rubber for Dawson. She allowed nine hits and eight runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.
Ramage toed the rubber for the Lady Jimmies. She lasted one and one-third innings, allowing nine hits and 13 runs while striking out one.  Wemple threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.  Dawson tallied three home runs on the day. Teixeira had a homer in the second inning. Snyder had a dinger in the second inning. Justice went deep in the second inning.
Lady Bucs had 14 hits in the game. Justice, Teixeira, and Pettersen all collected multiple hits for DCC. Justice went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Dawson in hits. Coach LeProwse said, “I am real pleased with the way we hit the ball today. If we continue to hit the ball like this we should be real competitive by tournament time.”
University of Jamestown JV saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Buis, Prussia, and Reisdorfer all managed multiple hits for University of Jamestown JV.
